
The Nervous System Resilience Model
Creating Change Through Nervous System Regulation
A holistic package of support for your staff and parents, which ensures that children are at the centre. Staff and parents will have access to training and workshops, which will equip them with the knowledge and tools to bring about actual change to home and school life.
Aims
To build resilience through:
Developing awareness of internal processes and practicing change
Recognition of the Brain-Body-Behaviour Connection and empowering self-regulation
Increasing the availability of external resources to enable relational repair
The Nervous System Resilience (NSR) model has two core aims:
Developing awareness of INTERNAL processes (through psychoeducation and therapeutic practices)
Creating change through developing EXTERNAL resources (embedding relational approaches and environmental awareness)
What is included in The Nervous System Resilience Model
For Parents:
An introduction event at school to connect with parents, introduce the offer and answer any questions.
4 x 1.5 hour workshops (weekly). This will cover topics including: How relationships shape the brain, How the sensory system influences behaviour, How to connect and co-regulate.
For School Staff:
1 x 3 hour Inset training session, or 2 x Twilight sessions
A follow up staff meeting, approximately 3 weeks later to check in with the team.
Following these compulsory elements, schools can then access Nervous System Resilience Facilitator training.
This includes:
3 x 0.5 days skills based training, which will enable the staff to facilitate 1:1 and group based regulation support approaches.
The sessions will be centred around Connection, Sensation and Expression and will include: Group process, Outcome measures, Therapeutic skills, Psychoeducation, Vagal toning practices

These can be added when the compulsory elements are purchased or completed.

Staff supervision for individuals
Whole school staff supervision
Parent workshops e.g. Managing Holidays, Bedtime Transition.

Retain knowledge and skills via a subscription to our model
Monthly online huddle for Nervous System Resilience (NSR) trained staff
Termly consultation, with 1.5hours of a psychotherapist on site
Access to 2 hours of Twilight sessions
